As one of our country’s most visible Lesbians, She has become the victim of Vladimir Putin’s homophobia. According to the L.A. Times, just days before Brittney’s arrest, Putin’s government tried to shut down the LGBTQ Network for talking about LGBTQ issues.

I am tired of made-up laws and made-up rules devised by men who have created and financed their fantasy world at the expense of African, Latin, Pacific Islander, and Asian people, and also poor white people. No imperial power has the moral authority to detain a Britney Griner.

Many of us in the States are frustrated. They should be seeking her autograph, not because she’s a superstar, but because she’s a noble Black woman. We have to keep lifting up her name.

Imagine the furor here if a male player like Steph Curry or LeBron James was being held.
