So You’re Not A Sociopath. Now What? (part 3)

You have two options.

But first, imagine a world where people always notice when your heart is bending, and they step in before it cracks, or at least someone would immediately carry out triage.

This world is God’s Intended Reality. The Intended Reality happens when people see and honor everyone’s dignity and when the unrestrained market does not determine their worth. 

Wherever people are defined hierarchically, from impersonal commanding heights, the powerful are destined to crush them socioeconomically. The powerful will give lip service to love. They pretend they have no hate while they defend hateful systems they say are not there. Sociopaths do know that these oppressive systems exist but cannot afford to acknowledge them. They make up lies lest their children see their role and how they really profit together.

Hate is not a mere emotion. Hate requires no feeling. It is the chase. And hate is the runway, the precursor to genocide. One cannot participate long in economic triumph without giving their soul away. This is sociopathy. Whiteness is pathological. We do not claim that white people of necessity are sociopaths, but to benefit from and advance whiteness is sociopathic. It is heartless. It has always been cruel. To be sure, minoritized people often volunteer for whiteness, and therefore, they too become sociopathic.

That you are not a sociopath forces you to feel, to be empathetic.

You have two options. Either lie to yourself and the world, or make your heart available to be broken again.
