Don’t Look Back

We all will, at some time in our lives, be tempted to look back. It’s an odd story to cite, but Jesus apparently wanted to emphasize the saga of a man named Lot. His family had to leave town abruptly: an evacuation of sorts. So en route to an undetermined location called “safety,” Mrs. Lot looks back at the city they abandoned.

Whatever the nature of your past, it is not so attractive that it deserves your nostalgic gaze.

Mrs. Lot is transformed into a pillar of salt (whatever that signifies). The point is that we need to stay with what is before us. You can be still and escape Monkey Mind.

Life is beautiful. Focus, baby.
