Yes. It’s Been Really Strange

It’s been a strange few years. I know these are distressing times and for some people depressing times. Last year was the worst on record for unruly passengers on flights. But that’s just the iceberg’s tip. Our fellow citizens, our neighbors are falling to deliberate psychological manipulation. The US has come closer to an unmanageable political crisis than at any time in modern history. 

There’s so much. 

Africa probably sees the worst climate-related conflict risks, but parts of Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East face similar dangers. Food insecurity, water scarcity, and resource competition are leading more people to flee their homes, leading to more conflict and leading more people into tribalism. 

COVID19 has taken the lives of people I love. Sometimes it feels like the end of the world. 

My outrage only grows over things that are unfair.

There’s Russia and the Ukraine. And against the backdrop of wars in Ukraine and Syria, the US and Russia see more rising friction.

All of that said, we have peace because we’re entitled to it. Stop feeling unworthy of your sense of wellbeing.
