Communally Subvert the Dominant Paradigm

Should I be thanking you? 

Are you one of those people who sees the need for fundamental change in the world? Even when you enjoy life, does it leave you less than satisfied because you know the world is not right?

If you seek to subvert the dominant paradigm, if you believe that your nonviolent creativity will contribute to our change-making, if this is you, then we are allies. We are in solidarity, no matter your language, religion, or citizenship. I don’t need you to change because you already know what time it is. I need you to be who you are because we need the resistance to be located anywhere and everywhere. 

I need you. We don’t need to be in the same room to be on the same page, not even in the same country. We may not be able to change everything, but we agree that everything needs to change. If we can, I sincerely appreciate sharing space with you, and yet I am delighted to know that there are more of us, and we are the majority. 

That’s right. We are everywhere. Never forget this. 

Instead of pulling our hair out, shouldn’t we dance more and laugh more? We should make sure people know it.
